MHOA Mentor Program
MHOA has developed a formal Mentor Program for training new officials. If you are interested in becoming an ice hockey official for MHOA you must successfully complete the MHOA Mentor Program. Successful graduates of the Mentor Program become members of MHOA, and are then assigned games as a regular official.
Program Information
Minimum Age Requirement: 14
Prerequisite: MUST attend Orientation Meeting to be considered. If you are under the age of 17 a parent MUST attend the orientation.
Next Scheduled Orientation: TBA
Current Mentor Class: Fall 2009
Mentor Class Information:
- If invited to join the program you will be required to attend 12 hours of classroom training and 3 hours of ice training.
- After you complete the training you will spend about 4 months working games with Senior Officials of MHOA.
- Upon graduation from the Mentor Program you would then be put on MHOA’s normal schedule.
